Introduction
After a two year break from painting, in November 2007 James Fullarton took over two floors of our gallery with a remarkable group of paintings. They sold very well, the best show that James had ever had and one of our record-breaking exhibitions.
His return has been much anticipated and these latest paintings will not disappoint his many admirers. Poppies feature centre-stage, with a small group of studies at £1,850 each and larger paintings at up to £13,500. Troon Marina, the Ayrshire coast and the artist's own back garden are all favourite themes but the stars of the show are probably the dramatic still lifes which are always so much in demand. Vibrant colour, bold compositions and expressive handling combine in an exhibition which will surely drive away the winter blues.
