Looking out day after day at the interminable grey skies, accompanied by wind and rain it seemed like a perfect opportunity to introduce an exhibition with a splash of colour. The exhibition is a celebration of the diversity of colour techniques employed in jewellery and glass.
Beadwork is from Stephan Hampala and Katharina Eder, both based in Austria. Andrea Frahm (Germany) will be exhibiting her skilfully woven gemstones alongside Birgitte Schulz's award winning galaxie and spirit pieces. John Moore is this year’s worthy recipient of the Kayman Award for his cleverly constructed aluminium and rubber.
Joan MacKarell is providing colourby clever use of enamelling, on copper beads and carefully considered panels.
Special one-off sculptural glass forms for domestic and corporate interiors are from Graham Muir, Amanda Notarianni, Charlie Macpherson and Phil Atrill. Ceramic plates, dishes and vases with birds, fish and insect illustrations from Jill Fanshaw Kato. |
