From time to time we are asked for our advice in settling family estates and recently were consulted about this key group of work by Christine McArthur. It had been put together over twenty years and included items in almost every medium that McArthur has worked in.

This is a McArthur collection that is possibly unrivalled in its breadth and quality, including beautiful Sutton’s Seeds embroideries (first exhibited in London in 1984 and much admired by Prince Charles when they were included in the London Art Fair around 2000), early and unrivalled pastels, two paintings of anemones – the artist’s favourite subject for flower painting, a diptych in oil, a rare linocut, a late landscape inspired by the hills above Rest and Be Thankful, coffee pots, a collage and more.

We are presenting this collection as an online event. All work is for sale now and can be seen in the Gallery by appointment.
