BA Hons Drawing & Painting – Edinburgh College of Art.

Following on from a career  in the financial sector and born in Glasgow Ruth Nicol graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2010 just months after the birth of her second daughter Charlotte.

Since graduation and specialising in fluid, large urban romantic landscapes multi award winning  Nicol has gone on to exhibit with The Royal Scottish Academy, The Royal Glasgow Institute, Society of Scottish Artists, Paisley Art Institute as well as several acclaimed  commercial galleries across Scotland.  Her work is held in several notable Collections across Scotland.

Nicol has collaborated extensively with Alan Riach Professor of Scottish Literature Glasgow University and renowned artist Alexander Moffat RSA OBE
